Three Challenges for Dialogue Management: the Constructive Dialogue Model approach

The paper discusses the view of dialogue systems as communicating agents, and presents three challenges that this view poses for current research on dialogue management: the need to rede ne cooperation and its relation to collaboration, the need to cope with resource-boundedness, and the need to handle social interaction. We present the Constructive Dialogue Model, a new approach to meeting these challenges in intelligent dialogue systems.
